Ensuring Quality at Every Stage: Manufacturing and Product Inspections
QIMA’s product and manufacturing inspections help you ensure quality standards throughout your manufacturing process. Leverage our inspections at every stage of your supply chain to protect your business against product recalls, customer complaints, and reputational damage.
Our inspectors verify that your product specifications, including quality, functionality, and performance requirements, are fulfilled. Ultimately, these inspections prevent defective products from reaching the end consumer.
We provide comprehensive inspection services throughout the entire production process, including initial production check, during production checks, container loading check, pre-shipment inspection and production monitoring.
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)
Our pre-shipment inspection is a comprehensive inspection that ensures that your production order has been completed correctly.
Pre-Customs Clearance for Mexico (PEO)
Our import scheme and pre-customs inspections help save time and money for, customs agents, freight forwarders, and companies importing to México.
Initial Production Check (IPC)
Our initial production checks are used to catch any issues that might affect production at the earliest stage possible.
During Production Check (DUPRO) & Inline Inspection (ILI)
Our during-production inspection involves putting inspectors on the factory floor to ensure your production is on track. We also offer inline inspection to catch any issues immediately.
Container Loading Check (CLC)
Our container loading checks ensure that your production order has been completed and loaded correctly before you sign off and settle final payment.
Production Monitoring (PM)
Our production monitoring service puts an inspector on your factory floor to continually monitor production.
What Happens in a Product Inspection?
During an inspection, a QIMA inspector evaluates products at specific production stages using a comprehensive checklist.
This checklist is tailored to the product and the client’s requirements.
Our checks typically assess the following:
Specifications
Dimensions
Function
Appearance
Performance
Workmanship
Packaging and packing are also checked, and product-specific tests are usually conducted. Checks can be tailored to the production stage. For example, inspections carried out at the start of production will include checks of raw materials.
We offer off-the-shelf checklists designed to match particular products. If customized checks are needed, you can add to one of these checklists or create your own.

Sampling Procedures
For all non-food product inspections, we use the internationally recognized ANSI / ASQ Z1.4 (ISO 2859-1) statistical sampling procedure. This procedure ensures that the inspected products represent an unbiased sample, rather than one selectively provided by your supplier. The test evaluates product attributes and establishes the percentage of nonconforming units for every 100 units. To determine the sample size and acceptance threshold, we use the acceptable quality limit (AQL) international standard.
